NISSAN PATROL 3L TURBO CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL
10 - 20 - 20/1
We love sharing with potential customers what our customer's experiences of our Diesel/Gas Australia System has been.
Leonard Edwards had his Nissan Patrol 3L Turbo fitted at Mark Endrizzi Auto Repairs in Mildura in May 2011.
He has been extremely happy with the results and wanted to share his experience with dealing with Mark Endrizzi & how diesel/gas has improved his vehicle
" I had the system installed by Mark Endrizzi, in Mildura, after doing a lot of looking around, trying to find the best system to suit my vehicle which is a 2003 NISSAN PATROL 3.0 TURBO WAGON, and spending a lot of time asking Mark sometimes dumb questions about what to expect from an installation. After picking Marks brains and getting honest + accurate answers about what to expect, the information he told me helped me decide to go ahead with the fitting.
The wagon had 161,000 KMS on the clock when gas was installed it now has 182,000KMS and so far had no major problems with the set up. The wagon had 85,000KMS on the clock when I bought it and since day one was a gutless slug of a thing averaging about 8KMS/LITRE which economy wise was not too bad but the power or lack of was a bit of a concern.
I started asking for some help and received a lot of suggestions and theories of how to fix things which I did, for example fit a snorkel, fuel pump + injector, computer, valve clearances, fuel timing etc which all checked out ok. Still not happy, I then decided to fit a DP POWER CHIP which claimed to make massive differences in power + fuel economy, but again made no difference at all, next suggestion was to fit a bigger diameter exhaust system so on went a 2.5" system which made a noticeable power difference but again was not satisfying, then the diesel gas plan came into the formula which gave the best result.
I dropped the wagon off at Mark’s workshop for the fit out then disappeared for the rest of the day, when I returned later I got all the paper work sorted, handed over the cash, jumped in to drive home, planted the foot as I normally do and instead of leaving black smoke behind the old girl nearly left two black lines, what a difference 'AWESOME'. Had to check under the bonnet to see if Mark had used the same motor or if he slipped in a V8 while I was away, the very noticeable power difference was just what I was looking for.
With the conversion now on I started to adjust the power chip which has manual settings from 1 to 9 with 9 being the maximum setting for power not economy and found that on the maximum setting the best fuel economy was achieved. Since then I have been back for some fine tuning which was done on a lap top, about 2 or 3 times, probably needed because the modifications done to the wagon required different tuning to the standard factory settings, which Mark did with no grizzles at all.
Economy wise on a distance highway trip diesel use has gone from around 8KMS/LITRE to 11.4KMS/LITRE, gas is about 26.6KMS/LITRE, which money savings per tank is not big compared with diesel only but it is still a saving, but with the power gain makes up for it, as for around town economy hardly changes but might improve if I could control myself and stop driving like a "P" plater again.
An example of power difference is I recently drove to Adelaide and driving up what used to be a 90KPH, 3RD GEAR hill now has changed to a 110KPH, 5TH gear hill with the ability to accelerate if necessary. Excellent, especially the service I received both before and after the system was installed by Mark Endrizzi and his team and as I said before Marks information ultimately help make my decision to go with the diesel gas conversion."
